The Arc Arts Program
Partnering with The Arc Macon, we offer art classes for adults with developmental disabilities, providing a supportive and inclusive environment where creativity can flourish. Through these classes, our Arc Artists are introduced to a variety of mediums and techniques, from painting and drawing to sculpture and mixed media.
We place a strong emphasis on the process of making art—not just the final product. Our goal is to nurture each artist’s unique voice and vision, encouraging self-expression, experimentation, and personal growth. By focusing on the act of creating, we help our Arc Artists build confidence, develop new skills, and grow in their identity as artists.
In addition to their studio practice, our Arc Artists have the opportunity to share their work with the community through our studio local art shop. All profits from sales go directly to the artists, further supporting their creative journey.
The Arc Macon is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. They believe that people with developmental disabilities have the same rights and responsibilities as every other citizen and that all people should have the opportunity to experience fulfillment in their lives. They also believe that individual rights are enriched through services that provide advocacy and support according to an individual's strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences.
