Express yourSELF: A 6-Week Creative Wellness Exploration for Teens and Young Adults

Discover your creativity, build emotional resilience, and find balance in this 6-week introductory course blending visual art, mindful movement, and self-expression. Each 90-minute session features therapeutic art activities, grounding mindful movement practices, and opportunities for reflection. No prior experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and an open mind.

Cost: $35/per session or $175/6 weeks

Ages: 15 to 24

Location: Artspace Macon

Course Goals:

  • Encourage connection and self-discovery in a supportive environment

Week 2 (2/26): Drawing on Both Sides of the Brain

Week 3 (3/05): The Color and Shape of What We Feel

Week 4 (3/12): Mapping the Internal Landscape

Week 5 (3/19): Narrative Art: Values, Vision, and Identity

Week 6 (3/26): Carrying Your Narrative Forward: Acceptance & Commitment

All supplies are provided. However, it may be useful to bring a notebook, sketchbook, or journal for personal reflections.

This course is led by Brandy Mohn, LCSW, CCTP-II. Brandy is an expressive arts and trauma-focused therapist with specialized training in qigong, trauma-informed yoga, and somatic therapy.
